Why do you use organic cotton?

Organic cotton is an economically responsible and green fiber. Unlike conventional cotton, which uses more chemicals than any other crop, organic cotton is never genetically modified and does not use any high polluting agro-chemicals such as those found in pesticides, herbicides and fertilizers. Integrated soil and pest management techniques - such as crop rotation and introducing natural predators of cotton pests - are practiced in organic cotton cultivation. The organic fibers used in our bandanas, scarves and necklaces are certified by IMO, Control Union, Ecocert, and/ or certified to Global Textiles Standards (GOTS).

Why are no two pieces alike?

Hand-dyed pieces may contain variations or imperfections in coloring, enhancing the character of each piece. We celebrate the small imperfections and believe these details connect you with the maker of your product. You may expect slight fading and patina over time as you lovingly wear your piece. This is inherent to textiles dyed with plants and should be embraced. Variation in dimensions and sewing is a testament to the handmade process. Each piece is handcrafted in our Texas studio using processes that take many days and sometimes weeks to achieve the perfect color.

Do you have everything I am ordering in stock?

We should have all of the items sold on the website in stock. There may be a slim chance we have sold out of an item and we will contact you via email within 1-2 days of receiving your order.

Do you have a brick-and-mortar location?

We do not currently have a brick-and mortar location. Please check out our stockists page to purchase in-store with one of our retail partners.

What is fast fashion and slow fashion?

“Fast fashion” is a term used in the industry where fashion designs move from the runway to stores to consumers and to waste in an unsustainable rate. The rise of fast fashion has made the global textile and and apparel industry one of the most resource-intensive industries in the world - resulting in toxic pollution, unethical labor and mounting waste.

“Slow Fashion” is an awareness and approach, which considers the process and resources required to make clothing, particularly focusing on sustainability. It involves buying better quality garments that will last longer and values fair treatment of people, animals and the planet.
