Each Meridian Mercantile product has been dyed by hand. We source materials and incorporate processes which minimize environmental impact. Every piece we make is unique - from the cloth to the construction and into the carefully executed dye methods. Our dyes include natural plant based pigments and low impact reactive dyes when further durability is needed. We have tried to create in the tradition of Japanese wabi sabi, where the beauty of the object is in the effort of its creation.

Meridian Mercantile accessories are created around the notion that each color accents the next in a color story which pulls from the calming colors of nature. Our colors will carry throughout multiple pieces so that they may be paired together to create tonal compliments or subtle variations of hues for a timeless, simple yet sophisticated accent to any wardrobe basics. As our line grows, the palette will evolve slowly, always integrating into a permanent collection rather than strong seasonal departures.
